Summary

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will provide leadership on internal operational projects or programs from initiation through delivery. Using project management methodologies and processes, the SPM will own and drive project planning, implementation, and execution ensuring targets are met and objectives are on schedule and within budget. As the SPM, this role is also responsible for assisting with the management of all projects in the portfolio, regularly communicating with stakeholders on any issues that may impact project completion, budgetary constraints, delivery dates, or other outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Using appropriate project management methodologies for the assigned project, leads planning, execution, and implementation of all assigned projects.
  • Tracks project performance specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables; define project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Present reports defining project progress, milestones, and risks on a periodic basis as defined within the project plan.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
  • Provides direction and support to the project team.
  • Coach project leaders and resources on project management methodology best practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Scrum Master Certification (CSM), or other Project Management Certification
  • 5 years as a project manager using project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc)
  • Advanced experience with project management (PM) tools: Microsoft Project, Jira, Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, or other PM software
