We are looking for a skilled wordsmith to join our Talent Acquisition Team. The Job Description writer will collaborate with talent acquisition representatives and hiring managers to produce job description content for all hiring needs. The JD Writer will conduct research on industry-related positions to generate content for the roles being created. The position will also require researching keywords and industry specific terminology, producing role-specific content and proofreading for accuracy and quality.

  • Produce well-researched content for a variety of roles across the Contract Development Manufacturing Organization, substance abuse, and life sciences industries as well as general business functions.
  • Online research to review similar jobs in the industry to decipher pertinent content and craft compelling language to grab candidates.
  • Organize writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines
  • Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to inspire ideas and content
  • Communicate and cooperate with the talent acquisition team, as well as members of the hiring organization, to determine key elements of requested job descriptions
  • Proofreading work for accuracy


  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven record of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio
  • Impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions
  • Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with colleagues, and management
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with different industry-specific details simultaneously
  • Effective time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
  • Proficiency with computers, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with each company's brand image, products, and services
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical, biotech and IT Industry language
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
