Summary

As the Sr. Social Media Strategist, you will be responsible for GENETWORx brands' social strategy & rollout. This includes creating and implementing a social media strategy that meets our business objectives, and drives the evolution of the brands' social presence forward in a positive and strategic way. You will work as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to generate content and ideas in line with the company's strategy and in support of various company initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning and content execution across all organic social media channels in line with the company goals and product lines
  • Create and manage editorial/social media content calendar
  • Content planning, monitoring, and management for company social media channels
  • Create perpetually fresh content that entertains, engages, and educates potential and current customers
  • Use all of the storytelling mediums (user-generated content, social media as a whole, PR, video, photography, the products themselves) at our disposal, to bring Genetworx products to the public
  • Present case studies for new channels and initiatives
  • Work closely with the wider brand team to align all partnership/influencer efforts
  • Work closely with the Paid Social Media Manager and Performance Team to ensure organic and paid channels tell a cohesive story
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports on all key metrics
  • Collect trends in social media to provide valuable insights to the business
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest best practices and emerging media platforms
  • Read company-relevant news and anticipate possible implications on social media
  • Attend marketing conferences related to Social Media Marketing
  • Monitor follower comments for legal compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in social media strategy and management (even if that means managing your own!)
  • Experience in organic content creation and a knack for on-brand, witty content
  • Good copywriting skills and some experience in PhotoShop
  • Proven ability to grow engagement and conversion
  • Experience managing campaigns across multiple social channels including Facebook, Instagram, Instagram stories, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest,, Rumble, Telegram, MeWe,
  • SnapChat, LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Experience working in the healthcare/wellness/lifestyle verticals preferred
  • Experience with paid social media
  • Experience managing outside creative agencies
  • Experience with social listening platforms (i.e. MeltWater)
