Summary

Center for Breakthrough Medicines is seeking an experienced Training Specialist to manage the learning and development needs of assigned department(s). The Training Specialist will play a critical role in coordinating the training activities which is essential to ensure personnel are trained prior to performance. The ideal candidate will be involved in a range of activities, including design and delivery of programs, conducting classroom training, conducting effectiveness evaluation. The Training Specialist will keep abreast with the latest learning and development theories to identify new and effective methods and techniques to develop in-house programs. Through knowledge and commitment, the Training Specialist will create a collaborative team environment for their colleagues. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining training curricula to ensure curricula assignments are appropriate
  • Participating in training maintenance activities as required by functional area
  • Tracking training through training database and running reports to determine compliance and training needs
  • Providing support for new employee training, procedure training review, and classroom delivery
  • Conducting training level assessments and provides support for developing training materials
  • Assessing existing situations and suggesting improvements for training programs
  • Maintain working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, and emerging regulatory and compliance concerns
  • Manage the use of the appropriate technology and resources to ensure that adequate technical training is delivered
  • Support department(s) to accurately determine training status prior to executing GMP tasks
  • Create training material, work with Subject Matter Experts to design and develop training materials to improve knowledge and skills in their function and site performance
  • Employ training effectiveness methods to evaluate the outcomes of key training programs against business objectives, propose and execute solutions to improve training delivery

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3+years of experience with working in pharmaceuticals, biologics, or related field
  • Strong facilitation skills for participant engagement and effective presentation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of GMP and Regulatory Training compliance
  • Experience in Technical Training Skills is preferred (Manufacturing, Analytical Testing, etc.)
  • Instructional design and curricula development experience preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to work individually and in a team structure
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours
