Summary

Center for Breakthrough Medicines is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support enterprise system projects as part of the IT & Security team. The individual will work directly with business and technology teams to support efforts across critical business processes and various solutions. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding the underlying business practices that drive business process and how it relates to enterprise business systems such as ERP, CRM, QMS (Quality Management Systems), and document management systems in a Life Science company. The ideal candidate partners with various stakeholders to define requirements, develops required documentation, communicates status and recommends solutions to ensure successful execution of the project and that business requirements are met. 

Responsibilities

  • Gathers business and functional requirements for technology related projects and performs analysis
  • Responsible for the creation and execution of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) documentation such as project plan, business and functional requirements, User Acceptance Testing, etc. and can efficiently run small-mid size projects.
  • Works cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Testing Operations, Sales Operations, QA, HR, Legal and other stakeholders to consult on project requirements and propose business solutions.
  • Partners with business clients, technical teams, and vendors to put together project plan, timeline, milestones and understand specific business processes, needs, and opportunities
  • Responsible for delivering precise functional specifications to include process workflows, business rules, interface design specification
  • Identifies Business Technology capabilities and information required to support the business processes and collaborates in the development of appropriate business strategies
  • Creates Project Plans and run Status Meetings with project Stakeholders
  • Works closely with the Business Subject Matter Experts to understand business request or pain point; analyze business needs.
  • Manages all communication with business users; keeps users informed and updated regularly. Adapts project updates/presentations to audience

Qualifications

  • Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in IT project management/business analysis
  • Experience in Pharma, Lifesciences, or healthcare industry
  • Experience working with Enterprise Systems (ERP, LIMS, QMS, etc) is preferred
  • Ability to develop and prepare business specifications, functional specifications, and mapping documents
  • Experience designing and leading IT business analysis-related workshops
  • Formal Project Management Training or Certification is preferred
  • Ability to function effectively in an environment with multiple and fluctuating priorities
  • Experience in Computer System Validation (CSV) documentation and GxP compliance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products (Visio, Project, Word, Excel, Teams)
