Center for Breakthrough Medicines is seeking an experienced leader to build the SRM organization. The incumbent will identify and mitigate risks to the compliant and timely flow of goods and services to the CBM site. SRM, one of the three critical pillars (Purchasing, Sourcing and Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management) under the Procurement and Total Cost of Ownership organization, is responsible for measuring performance, understanding the global marketplace, mitigating risk and ensuring flawless execution by our supplier-partners.

You will also run the internal monthly Executive Supplier Review and will ensure that Quarterly Business Review outcomes, between CBM and its partners, are recorded and actioned on.

You will be key in supporting our patient-centric mission, as you will help to lower risk throughout the supply chain and will be a critical liaison between the PTCO organization and CBM leadership.


  • Building out / right-sizing the SRM organization
  • Management of the SRM pillar for CBM
  • Primary liaison between PTCO and the LT
  • Understanding risks with our supplier base
  • Understanding the global economic, political and health landscape
  • Creation and maintenance of critical KPIs in conjunction with our Quality organization
  • Run the Executive Supplier Review process with CBM leadership
  • Strong collaboration with Category Management and Purchasing teams
  • Participation in QBR process with supplier-partners
  • Support client onboarding activities
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and other optimization initiatives
  • Participate in Gemba walks to ensure cross-functional alignment

Education & Experience

  • Strong sense of patient-centricity / accountability to the patient
  • History of supporting innovation, big or small / challenging the status quo
  • BA / BS and at least 7 years of experience required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • ISM, APICS or other certifications preferred
  • Excellent collaborative skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Cell and Gene Therapy preferred, but cGxP / Pharma required
  • SAP, JDE or other ERP system experience required
  • Experience in MS Office required
