Summary

The Director of Training at GENETWORx organizes, conducts, and evaluates internal training programs, plans/executes training initiatives that ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation bodies and enhance necessary skill sets for an employee's current role. The Director of Training will select/create materials and appropriate delivery methods for programs to increase or employee's individual performance while maintaining compliance with varying accrediting and regulating bodies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct annual training/development needs assessment in collaboration with department leaders
  • Propose training/development programs and objectives to expedite, consolidate and/or maximize effectiveness
  • Assess Training Organizational structure and training personnel to determine needs to support all departments
  • Develop/monitor spending against departmental budget
  • Obtain and/or develop effective training materials utilizing a variety of media and supportive of varying learning styles
  • Train/coach managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts
  • Plan, organize, facilitate and order supplies for employee development and training events
  • Develop/maintain organizational communications such as bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources
  • Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results; modify programs as needed
  • Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization
  • Leads the Training Team in all aspects of Project Management and Development, on and offboarding Training Team members, allocating members of the workforce to meet business needs and assessing the staffing needs

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Education, Sciences, or related field preferred, Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in laboratory sciences required; 2-3 years in a training position, with experience creating curriculum is preferred
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: CLIA and CAP regulations, Adult Learning Theory, Learning Management Systems, Compliance, Leadership, Lean concepts
  • Familiarity with regulatory/compliance requirements pertaining to training
  • Willingness to be flexible in adjusting to new and changing situations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with department leaders
  • Ability to pivot and prioritize based on the needs of the business
