The Difference-Making Role: Mobile Laboratory Manager
Summary: Under managerial direction, this position is responsible for complex laboratory procedures and has authority over testing personnel. The Mobile lab will be exactly as it sounds, a mobile laboratory that will be processing Covid-19 tests and moving locations. This classification requires extensive knowledge of science and laboratory procedures, specialized molecular diagnostic laboratory tests, blood test procedures, and medical terminology to perform specialized medical laboratory diagnostic tests. The Mobile Laboratory Manager will be responsible for employee training and development, preparation and supervision of validation protocols and procedures and completion of validation reports and monitoring and maintaining inventory.
Supervises, directs, plans, develops, implements, evaluates and oversees the execution of daily operations of the high complexity testing in a molecular diagnostic laboratory.
Responsible for the day to day supervision or oversight of the laboratory operation and personnel performing testing and reporting test results.
Facilitates the implementation of new programs, tests, methods, instrumentation, and procedures by investigating alternatives; preparing proposals; developing and performing parallel testing; monitoring progress in accordance with management direction
Responsible for employee training and development, preparation and supervision of validation protocols and procedures.
Advanced Degree in chemistry, biology, other related sciences is required
Previous Senior level experience with direct supervision of Laboratory personnel and operations
10+ years in upper management of molecular laboratory operations
