The Center for Breakthrough Medicines (CBM) is on track to be the largest single-site cell and gene therapy-focused contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) in the world. CBM’s mission is to accelerate the delivery and affordability of lifesaving therapies by offering a fully integrated solution for the development and commercialization of cell and gene therapies.


CBM is located just outside of Philadelphia in the Heart of Cellicon Valley; set on 300 acres with 2.4 million square feet of life sciences lab and manufacturing space, allowing clients to scale their development and manufacturing needs without ever having to change sites, while providing employees a true community campus experience focused exclusively on life sciences.


The Sr. Product Manager is a business owner-minded individual who excels working at the intersection of the Advanced Therapy market’s needs and CBM’s current and future capabilities. This individual will cross-functionally work with multiple business units (Process Development, Plasmids, Gene Therapy, Cell Therapy, Testing & Analytical Services), the Commercial team, Program Management, and other functions to develop and launch differentiated product offerings and solutions to cell and gene innovator companies. The Sr. Product Manager works well in a fast-paced environment, is organized and able to dynamically prioritize between short-term asks and long-term business needs.

Responsibilities

·      Strategically partner with business unit leaders to understand market needs and translate into differentiated solutions

·      Keep an “ear to the ground” to anticipate market direction from technology innovations, clinical trial data readouts, and competitive movements

·      Understand business challenges and industry trends and partner with your assigned BUs on how Product Management and Marketing can help achieve their objectives.

·      Co-develop roadmaps and lead product launches, advertising campaigns, and sales plays for product and technology capabilities within your BU

·      Build cross-functional relationships with BU leaders, the Commercial Team, Finance and Program Management working teams across CBM to collaboratively achieve enterprise goals

·      Understand Business Unit systems, equipment, and business processes from a high level to facilitate end-to-end standup of GxP capabilities

·      Serve as the Marketing & Strategy representative to BU leadership teams to deliver product launch updates and manage project delivery expectations.

·      Translate insights into actionable GTM strategies working closely with marketing counterparts to ensure implementation of the plan

·      Provide guidance to key metrics relevant to BU goals and measure and report on value realized from product management

·      Support best practice and knowledge sharing through documentation of your BU product launch and campaign successes and introducing lessons learned from other BU PMs

·      Develop deep insight into the buyer personas for your BUs, the buyer journey, and use this insight to help guide messaging and content creation.

·      Work with subject-matter experts (SMEs) within your BU to create and maintain marketing and sales assets that appropriately target buyers throughout their journey. Assets include positioning/sales guides, sales playbooks, case studies, whitepapers, eBooks, product demonstrations, infographics and more.

Education & Experience

·      Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience (MBA preferred)

·      5+ years of professional work experience in management consulting, life science, tech, or high-growth start-up 

·      Previous experience analyzing client needs, setting and managing expectations, and influencing decisions.

·      Strong interest in cell & gene therapy and cutting-edge life science trends.

·      Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
