GENETWORx is working within the emergency use authorization guidelines from the United States Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") to specifically conduct COVID-19 testing.

Position Overview: Due to explosive growth in laboratory services, GENETWORx is seeking an experienced professional for its Supply Chain Manager position. Responsible for directing the activities of the molecular and scientific groups of an organization’s products, projects, services and programs. Focus will be on Covid-19 testing.

Specific Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty adequately. Other duties may be assigned.
Set up processes to capture supply chain improvement opportunities. Including transactional processes, organization, documentation and reporting and supporting application tools.
Develop creative processes to secure supply chain in challenging environments able to scale effectively with high growth initiatives. Potential solutions include long term contracting, partnerships, gaining access to priority vendor lists through lobbyists and other government connections, integrating into manufacturing process where necessary, etc.
Lead initiative aiming to reduce lead time, achieve cost savings and maintain adequate inventory
Conduct supply chain process review and analysis and identify gap for improvement according to industry best practice.
Initiate projects and drive to implementations. Monitor effectiveness of the implemented projects.
Serve as project manager for multiple initiatives.
Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports to senior management.
Handle communications and negotiations with external vendors.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent preferred
Minimum 10 years of working experience with supervisory experience, preferably in the Life Sciences industry
Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment
Proven success in improving work processes in a complex and fast paced environment

Work Environment: Work Primarily at laboratory site, actively engaging with management and all employees

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected
